One never really chooses, but the truth is I wanted to be a cartoonist when I grew up. No, that's not quite right. I thought I could just "be" a cartoonist. I tried my hand at it but I really did not draw well. And the sentimentality! Oy. So I tried to follow the crowd and grow up. I studied. I worked. Eventually I circled back to art school and learned to draw. I also learned a lot of other bullshit that led me down other, not uninteresting, paths. Somehow I ended up in law school. I've worked as a lawyer on and off, more and less, for half my days at least and now, in my near-dotage, find myself back where I started. For better or worse.
