It was tolerated by the Ottawa police and the R.C.M.P., provincial and federal officials until finally the federal government had to intervene, invoking the Emergency Measures Act. From January 25th to February 23rd, 2022, the people of Ottawa were brutally terrorized by semi-trailer trucks locked in place with their air brakes, blasting air horns day and night while the drivers and assorted micreants drank and otherwise partied. It was a very mixed up time so Covid figures oddly into some of these.
